Carry the emblem every Brother recognises. The Masonic G Pewter Pocket Watch sets the square and compass around a central G, engraved into the pewter front rather than raised.

Made in some of the finest British Pewter, the front carries its emblem engraved rather than raised, an understated finish in keeping with tradition. A quartz movement and three-year battery keep it running and at around 77g it sits well in a waistcoat pocket. It arrives with its chain in a leatherette presentation box, ready for a newly initiated Brother, a Worshipful Master taking the chair or milestone birthdays.

The letter G at the centre of the square and compass stands for geometry and for God, as Masonic tradition holds. It is the version of the emblem you see most often in lodges and the one most Brothers reach for when something needs to be unmistakably Masonic, which makes it the more declarative of our Masonic pocket watches.

A Pewter Maker picking up an Antique Mould

A E Williams (Est 1779) Ltd is one of Britain's oldest pewter makers, still run by the family that founded it nearly 250 years ago. 


The story began when Thomas Williams started a small workshop making flatware and dishes from his home on the Welsh border, and from there the craft passed down through eight generations of the same family, all the way to Rebecca Johnson, who joined the business in 2015. 


Today we're based at our workshop in Digbeth, Birmingham, where we've been since the early 1970s.

OUR STORY
Pouring molten pewter into a bronze mould

We work from a collection of over 1,500 antique bronze moulds, some of which are centuries old. Many were made by hand long before machine tooling existed, and we still use them today, alongside moulds and skills of our own, to produce pieces with the kind of character that mass production simply can't replicate.
